But what have we been up to actually?

We.have.been.repairing, loading and unloading our van; been losing ourselves on the map; setting up and tearing down our spaceship; searching for its lost pieces; improvising; patching overburdened costumes, tires, hearts and heads; rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing and performing.

After.Guerilla.Lighting festival in Ljubljana, we left for Zagreb for the second time this year. The mini ‘Balkan tour’ on the festivals of Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro was followed by Austrian Pflasterspektakel in Linz and a festival Sogni a spazi (Dreams in public space) in villages of Marmilla in Sardinia. After long ferry rides, Raynair flights and poorly marked Italian highways the crew finally met up again in Austrian Graz. We have visited the city of Graz for the third time this year as it is the home of one of our largest supporters, i.e. festival La Strada, and premiered there with the project “Secret Agents Choir”. The majority of Ljuds are at the moment in Sweden, “cut off from the world”. Together with Swedish feminist collective ÖFA, they are preparing a forest installation near the village Udavella, a product of the third open house within the project H.O.M.E. The whole team will rejoin at the end of the week in France and will fight (pink shoulder to pink shoulder) with the floods of art, parties and prostitution in one of the largest festivals of street theatre in the world, namely in Aurillac where also the fourth H.O.M.E. open house will be held. The tour of “Electric invasions” will be concluded (like last year) in Israel, but before that we scheduled our landing in Germany and Belarus (at the festival Belaya vezha in Brest) as well.

We.plan.on.meeting domestic audience on the 28^th of August at PUF (Seaside Street Festival) in Koper. The dwellers of Ljubljana will be able to visit the space asylum seekers at their home on 19^th September within the 17^th Ex Ponto festival, when we will present the premiere of our ambiental interactive event “Electric Tea Party”. The Ljud’s missed the “Cleaning Slovenia in one day” action but they decided to contribute in their own special way by cleaning the entire city of Graz in just 45 minutes…

The city and its inhabitants were cleaned as part of the Lendwirbel street event.

Aliance will land in Zagreb on Friday, 4.6., at 8.oo p.m.. And they will done this second time, because they didn’t manage to researc it well at first. Scientists of the Ljud group predict that they will be woudering the city also on Sutarday.

Aliance will recive welcoming and official greetings by Cest is d’Best festival.

The young artistic collective Ljud will launch the first “ready-made outdoor gallery” in Ljubljana on the 13th April at 17:00. Pocestnica, with its »entrance« from the Vžigalica Gallery (Trg francoske revolucije 7) and its »exit« in Studio 8 (Soteska 8 - opposite the Glej theatre), will operate according to the progressive topological principle of the »inverted sock«. Young artists from Slovenia, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Macedonia and Hungary, for whom established art practices are not entirely sufficient, will use their own content to give a deeper meaning to the streets, artistically expose the walls of surrounding houses, open the window, fill the flower boxes, surprise fire hydrants and entertain some public lamps …

The outdoor gallery will be using the “ready-made” principles to reinterpret concrete public space and expose existing urban compositions, landscapes, installations and artifacts. The general public will be directly involved in the debate on the purpose of public space, the relationship between skill and concept in contemporary art and its “elite” status. Individual artists will also conduct a series of short performances.

The project, which is interdisciplinary oriented will be held in co-organization with the Institute for contemporary art SCCA-Ljubljana and Studio 8, it will also conclude the “Open House in Ljubljana”, a set of workshops and seminars which will be conducted and organized by the Ljud group as part of their international program on informal artistic mobility H.O.M.E. - Houses for Open Mobility Exchange, supported by the Directorate of Culture at the European Commission.
